We use as few cookies as we can get away with. Here is every one, and what it does.
Essential — always on
These make the site work. It cannot function without them.
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
trnchub_session |
Keeps you signed in and remembers what you have saved before you register. | 4 hours |
trnchub_remember |
Set only if you tick “keep me signed in”. Holds a random token, never your password. | 30 days |
googtrans |
Remembers the language you chose in the switcher. | Session |
Stored in your browser, not sent to us
Some preferences are kept in your browser’s local storage rather than as cookies, which means they never travel to our server at all:
- Whether you prefer grid or list view on listing pages
- Which properties you have added to compare
Analytics — only if enabled
If site analytics are switched on, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and show us which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised. We use this to improve the site, not to profile you.
Translation
Choosing a language other than English loads Google’s translation service, which may set its own cookies. Their privacy policy applies to those.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No cross-site behavioural profiling
Turning them off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones will stop you signing in and stop the site remembering what you have saved.
